The Genesis G90 is a Classy and Affordable Luxury Sedan

The Genesis G90 lineup is a classy flagship luxury sedan that is powerful and affordable for our customers living in or near Spring, TX. It manages to compete with its class against vehicles like that of the BMW 7-series and the Lexus LS 500. For 2020, the Genesis G90 receives an external and internal update. The exterior look is refined, and a large grille dominates the front end. The interior is as luxurious as ever with premium quality materials and classy finishes that our Conroe drivers appreciate. Below we will outline some of the differences between each of these luxury sedans and compare them for you.

Genesis G90 Compared to the BMW 7-Series and the Lexus LS 500

The BMW 7-series is a mainstay in the luxury automobile market. However, success sometimes builds complacency, and in this case, it may have. The 7-series boasts a wide variety of powertrain options, but its cost and pricing may be a put-off. The Lexus LS 500 is well priced and equipped with high-end features. However, the ride is not as soft, and the infotainment system is disappointing to our Woodlands drivers for its price range.

The Genesis G90 comes powered by a sleek 3.3-liter turbocharged V6 engine that produces 365 horsepower. The standard transmission is a nimble eight-speed transmission that delivers power to the rear wheels. All-wheel drive is also available. The base model is also very quick off the mark.

For prospective Spring, TX buyers looking for more power, the G90 offers a 5.0-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine that produces 420 horsepower. This engine comes linked to the same eight-speed automatic transmission, which delivers power to the rear wheels or all four wheels. The G90 has impressive fuel economy ratings. It also boasts a smooth and comfortable ride thanks to its five-link suspension system with electronic shock absorbers.

The BMW 7-series boasts a vast selection of powertrain line-ups. The options include a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 that produces 523 horsepower, an inline 6-cylinder engine that produces 320 horsepower, and a top of the line 6.6-liter twin-turbo V12 that produces 600 horsepower. The 7-series does poorly in terms of fuel economy. However, an optional hybrid model is available.

The Lexus LS 500 comes powered by either a 3.4-liter twin-turbo V6 that produces 416HP or a 3.5L hybrid V6 that makes 354 horsepower. The Lexus LS 500 feels sluggish at times despite having a 10-speed automatic transmission.

Interior Design and Features

The Genesis G90 is richly adorned with smooth finishes and high-quality wood trim. It has plenty of storage space and has extremely comfortable front and rear seats. The front seats are heated and cooled automatically, and the driver's seat features 22-way power adjustability. The rear seats have more than 35-inches of legroom. The 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen is looks and feels responsive, and it features standard Android Auto compatibility and Apple CarPlay.

The BMW 7-series mostly remains unchanged in terms of interior design. It comes with luxurious materials and a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster. Leather seats are standard, and the space is adequate. On the other hand, the Lexus LS 500 is just as luxurious and spacious as the BMW 7-series. However, they both fall short in terms of space and infotainment despite them both being more expensive.

The Genesis G90 provides the best complimentary scheduled maintenance and warranty coverage in its class. It also features a myriad of active and passive safety features such as forward collision warning and lane-keeping assist. Other driver assistance features include lane-departure warning, automated emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control. All these features are available on the base model.

The BMW 7-series features similar driver assistance technology, such as lane-keeping assist and adaptive cruise control. However, these features are only available at an additional cost. The LS 500 is also similarly adorned with safety features such as automated emergency braking and lane-keeping assist. However, the powertrain warranty on the Lexus is not as lengthy as the Genesis G90.
